A real bad day for me... & a real bad way of handling it. Everything don't seem well enough to let me go on. But I did. Gym was good. Met up with Sharon & my new Persian friend. And eventually end the day with a conversation of great insight with him. Guess he's not too pleased with my comments & thoughts. Half the time amidst all these crazy things to do, I felt so exhausted. I don't know whether I am coming or going. It's like I am on this merry-go-round & I can't get off. I just have to push harder & I want to keep up.
Sometimes, I feel it's the little things that brings me back into balance. I realised that one of the ways we throw ourselves completely out of balance is when we lose our own sense of what we need, get our identity through another person and focus our energy on the other person. When we do this, we are so out of reach with ourselves that we found ourselves slowly slipping away. And when we know we are lost, we cannot come to others from a balanced self. Our focus is external to ourselves in the process.
Some people believe that this focusing on the other to the exclusion of the self is love. Understandably we hear so much about the self-sacrificing element in love. The reality, however, is that for love to exist, we have to have a self to bring to it. Those who give themselves away for the sake of love lose what they are trying to hold on to : they become a boring, uninteresting nonentity.
Giving ourselves away is never a solution. I realised it.

DaRkAnGeL'S WoRdS Of WiSdOm :
"Things derive their being and nature by mutual dependeance and are nothing in themselves."
One Of My Favorite Mexican Proverb : "Pase lo que pase la vida sigue su curso"
